As we wait for the update on restrictions, how are you feeling about heading back behind the chair?

So in just under one week Boris is expected to make an announcement that will hopefully shed some light on when we might be back to work. However, from what I'm hearing, for some of you it isn't necessarily a feeling of excitement you're feeling as you wait ... for some it's nervousness about finding the time to fit everyone in and even fear about going back behind the chair.

For those of you feeling those things, please know that you are not alone. A recent survey done by L'Oreal showed that most clients felt safe returning to salons after the last lockdown - but what about the stylists?

It's difficult to weigh up our options in regards to safety when closure is having such a financial impact on so many. Some salons will never open their doors again, some mobile stylists are opting to change careers all together. Some stylists ( dare I say it ) have even felt that they have had no choice but to continue to work, breaking lockdown rules, in order to simply provide for their families.

Whatever situation you find yourself in and however that feels I'd be really interested to hear your views on things. Are you hoping for a set date so you can plan accordingly? Or are you considering a complete career change? Have you taken on other work whilst we're unable to do hair?
